Cirrus
A display typeface inspired by the beauty found within clouds.
Cirrus is a typeface modeled after the natural curling, sweeping forms of the eponymous clouds. The letterforms are broken apart into separate strokes with no closed counters, resulting in a stencil typeface. To bring the typeface to life in motion, a variable slant-axis was created to allow words to flow and bend with the wind.

The letters follow the translational model of a broad nib pen, with strokes thinning out into sharp points that begin to blend into the background. The same tool forms the ornamental border of clouds, framing the type and blurring the edge between type and image.
